१. अधिकांश लीवर कैंसर कोई लक्षण नहीं दिखाता है।
२. ६० – ७० प्रतिशत लिवर कैंसर में कोई भी रिस्क फैक्टर दिखाई नहीं देता है। ३० – ४० प्रतिशत लिवर कैंसर में एलकोहॉल, हेपेटाइटिस बी और हेपेटाइटिस सी जैसे रिस्क फैक्टर्स रेस्पोंसिबल होते है।
३. लीवर सिरोसिस के मरीजों को लीवर कैंसर का ज्यादा खतरा ज्यादा होता है।

2. No risk factor is seen in 60 – 70 percent of liver cancers. Risk factors such as alcohol, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are seen in 30 – 40 percent of liver cancers.
3. Patients with liver cirrhosis have a higher risk of liver cancer.
