The cost of a liver transplant is divided into 3 parts –
1. Pre-liver transplant cost
2. Actual liver transplant cost
3. Post liver transplant cost
The pre-liver transplant costs of living donor liver transplants and deceased donor liver transplant are different. This cost varies from patient to patient. This cost also depends on the liver transplant center. Total pre – liver transplant cost depends on the recipient’s screening test, evaluation and fitness test and the donor’s screening test, evaluation and fitness test.
There is a complete package of an actual liver transplant that the liver transplant center tells you. But you have to ask your liver transplant team about what is included and what is not in the package.
